The first Spring Statement has been and gone and it went pretty much as expected. No red box was brought to the statement as noted by the chancellor – this is not a budget. In short the Spring Statement included better than expected growth, reduced borrowing estimates. Higher investment into public services and housing as well as investment into technologies.
